PREMISE
Minimalism began as an art movement in the 1960s focusing on extreme aesthetic austerity. The movement inspired architectural style and interior design as well as some painting styles. Although the influence of minimalism has now extended far beyond structures and artworks of the late 20th century; its values of simplicity and reduction have more recently been applied to lifestyle.
The idea of less is more has transcended architecture and is gaining traction in mainstream media. While minimalism in interiors still dominates many households, from wardrobes to everyday life it is also dominating living. The aim of minimal living is not to deprive yourself of everything, but to choose selectively and carefully what enters your space.
This photo series aims to bring awareness and understanding of how exactly minimal lifestyles can enrich our houses, well-being as well as the environment.
