A portfolio on UNI is not a separate thing you create. It is your profile page at uni.xyz/profile/your-username, together with the work you attach to it. There is no portfolio to set up, no template to choose and no separate address to claim. Filling in your profile and publishing work is the whole of it.
That is why the Build Your Portfolio page has several buttons rather than one. Each opens a different editor, and each publishes into the same profile.
The three ways to add work
- Project. A page you build on UNI out of images, text and embeds. This is the usual home for a single piece of design work.
- Journal. Writing you compose in UNI's own editor. Essays, process notes, interviews, opinion.
- Publication. A PDF you upload, which readers turn through page by page. Portfolios as documents, theses, reports, booklets.
All three require you to be signed in. If you are signed out, the button takes you to sign in and returns you to the editor afterwards, so nothing is lost.
The other two buttons
Create Portfolio opens your profile editor, which is where your bio, experience, education, skills and links live. Explore opens the public project feed, which needs no account at all.
Nothing publishes by accident
Each of the three editors has its own publish step, and each holds your work as a draft until you take it. Opening an editor to look around costs you nothing, and an unpublished draft has no public address for anyone to arrive at.
