The Project Status counters in a project chat

What the Media, Disciplines and Publications counters show in a project chat in UNIfy, and why the panel is missing in an ordinary chat.

Open a chat that is attached to a project in UNIfy and a small Project Status panel appears with three numbers.

What the three counters mean

Counter What it counts
Media images, videos and files attached to the project
Disciplines disciplines the project is filed under
Publications publications connected to the project

They describe the project, not the conversation. Nothing you say in the chat changes them; they move when the project itself changes.

Why the panel is missing

The panel is only drawn in a project chat. A general UNIfy chat is not attached to a project, so there is nothing for it to describe and it is not shown. If you expected it and it is not there, you are almost certainly in an ordinary chat rather than the project's own.

To get one, open the project and start the chat from there.

What the numbers are useful for

Mostly as a quick check before publishing. A project with 0 disciplines is much harder to find, because discipline is the main filter on the Projects feeds and in search. A project with 0 media cannot be published at all. Seeing both at a glance while you are working on it is quicker than going back to the editor to look.
