Yes. UNI does not restrict access by country. You can browse the platform, create an account and take part from anywhere.
What varies by country is payment. Here is what to expect at checkout and what to do if a payment will not go through.
Currency
UNI prices are set in a list of supported currencies, and checkout picks one based on your location. If your local currency is not on that list, checkout falls back to US dollars. You can also change the currency yourself on the checkout page.
Payment methods
The checkout page shows Select Payment Method with up to two options:
- Proceed to Payment, for credit and debit cards, UPI and net banking.
- Continue with PayPal, for a PayPal balance or a card linked to PayPal. This option is not offered on transactions in Indian rupees.
If a payment fails
Two causes account for most failures, and both are worth checking before you try again.
- Turn your VPN off. VPN traffic frequently causes payment failures.
- Use a card enabled for international transactions. Many cards block cross-border payments by default and your bank can switch this on for you.
If neither helps, email contact@uni.xyz from the address on your UNI account and ask for a direct payment link, saying what you are trying to buy.
Card issuers and payment providers apply their own country rules, which UNI does not control. If your bank declines the payment outright, the direct payment link is the route to use. UNI does not accept cryptocurrency.
