Is there a discount if my whole class registers?

There is no percentage discount for registering a group. Here are the institutional and individual plans that cover a class, a school or a few people.

There is no per-head percentage discount for registering a group. What exists instead is built for exactly this case, and usually works out better.

For a class, studio or department

Institutional membership, $536.42. One account, 12 included competition entries, valid for 365 days. A mentor or faculty member buys it and registers the entries. The 12 entries can be spread across competitions of your choosing, not just one, and each entry can itself be a team project.

If 12 is not enough, a second membership adds its entries to the first: two Institutional memberships give 24 entries, not 12.

For larger cohorts there is Institutional Access, a separate institution agreement with plans published at $1,499 and $3,999 a year plus a custom tier, adding faculty evaluation tools, reporting and mentor seats. You apply for it rather than buying it, and the team confirms the entry allowance and the length of the term with you before anything is charged. See Institutional Access.

For a few individuals

If it is a handful of people rather than a cohort, an individual membership on each account is usually simpler. Included entries start at the Semester plan: $65 with 1 entry, $99 Annual with 2, $199 Studio with 5. The Weekly and Monthly plans include no entries at all, so they will not help a group that is entering a competition.

Choosing between them

Work out how many people are involved and how many entries you expect, then pick the plan that covers it: Institutional membership for a studio or class, Institutional Access for a school or university, individual memberships for a few people.

If your group is larger than the published plans, or you need an invoice or a purchase order, contact the UNI team.

Some competitions run an early bird discount on the entry fee, set per competition. It applies to the student and professional entry categories but not to the institutional one, and it is separate from everything above.

The membership price above is the total you pay, gateway charge included. Competition entry fees are quoted before the 7.5% charge.

Before you pay anything, get your entry allowance, term and start date confirmed in writing by the UNI team. The plan cards on the public pricing page are not a contract. Buying a Department, School or University Access product in the shop does now grant its entries automatically, on the organization you own or administer, so make sure you hold one of those roles on the right organization before you pay. If you do not, the payment succeeds and the pool has nowhere to land until support places it by hand.
