No. A membership entry can only be spent on a competition that takes its registrations on UNI, and competitions listed by outside organizers do not.
Hosted and listed competitions
UNI carries two kinds of competition, and every competition card tells you which one you are looking at:
- Hosted by, followed by the organizer name. UNI runs the competition end to end. Registration, entries, judging and results all happen here.
- Listed by, followed by the organizer name. An outside organizer runs the competition and UNI carries the listing so people can find it. You can browse these at uni.xyz/competitions/listed.
Why membership does not apply to a listed competition
On a listed competition there is nothing on UNI to register through. Depending on the listing, the page either shows no Register or Submit button at all, or the button opens the organizer's own site in a new tab. Either way your registration, your fee and your submission are handled entirely by that organizer, on their terms and at their price, so a UNI Membership has nothing to attach to.
What your membership does cover
On competitions hosted by UNI:
- Semester, Annual, Studio and Institutional include a number of entries per membership period, which you can spend on paid competitions.
- Weekly and Monthly include no entries. On a paid competition those two tiers pay the entry fee like anyone else. Holding a membership does not on its own let you into every competition.
- Free competitions are open to everyone, on any tier or none, and never use an included entry.
- Institutional Access categories cannot be paid for with membership entries even on a hosted competition. They are bought directly.
