UNI has six membership tiers. Every one is a one-time purchase that runs for a fixed number of days. Nothing auto-renews and nothing is billed again.
| Tier | Price you pay | Runs for | Included competition entries | Can rate projects | Auto-verified |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Weekly | $9.67 | 7 days | none | No | No |
| Monthly | $19.35 | 31 days | none | No | No |
| Semester | $69.88 | 184 days | 1 | Yes | No |
| Annual | $106.42 | 365 days | 2 | Yes | Yes |
| Studio | $213.92 | 365 days | 5 | Yes | Yes |
| Institutional | $536.42 | 365 days | 12 | Yes | Yes |
In the marketplace these are listed as UNI Membership (Weekly), UNI Membership (Annual) and so on.
What "included entries" means
Included entries are counted from the day your current membership period started, not from the day you bought your first membership.
- Free competitions never use an included entry, and they are never blocked by your tier. Any member, and anyone without a membership, can register for a free competition.
- On a paid competition, registering with your membership uses one of your included entries. Once you have used them all, that route is refused and you pay that competition's entry fee instead.
- Weekly and Monthly include none, so on a paid competition those tiers always pay the entry fee.
You do not need a paid membership to enter competitions at all. Some competitions are free for everyone, and for paid ones you can pay the entry fee per entry. Check the competition's own page for its fee and eligibility rules.
Rating projects
Rating is available on Semester and above. On Weekly and Monthly the rating control tells you to upgrade to a Semester, Annual, Studio or Institutional plan. You also cannot rate your own project on any tier.
The verified badge
Annual, Studio and Institutional carry the verified badge on your profile automatically. Semester, Monthly and Weekly do not. This is the profile badge and has nothing to do with confirming your email address, which is separate and free.
What membership changes for the UNIfy agent
Membership sets the model tier the agent runs on and how many render credits you start with each period:
| Tier | Render credits | Video generation |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly | 7 | No |
| Monthly | 25 | No |
| Semester | 150 | Yes |
| Annual | 250 | Yes |
| Studio | 750 | Yes |
| Institutional | 2,500 | Yes |
Signed-in users with no membership get 3 credits. Annual and above run the agent on the highest model tier; Weekly, Monthly and Semester run on the middle tier. Credit packs can be bought separately if you run out, and buying one needs an active membership.
Managing your membership
Go to Settings from the account menu, then Membership in the sidebar, at uni.xyz/accounts/settings/membership. The page shows how many days you have left, your end date, and a Change/Upgrade Plan button.
Because memberships do not auto-renew, letting one lapse costs you nothing. If you need a purchase reviewed or cancelled, contact the UNI team.
Payment gateway charge
The prices above are the totals you pay: a 7.5% payment gateway charge is already included. The base plan prices are $199 for Studio and $99 for Annual. Competition entry fees are quoted before the charge, which is added at checkout, and the full total is always shown before you confirm payment.
Institutional Access is a separate product
The Institutional membership above is an individual membership. Institutional Access is a different set of passes for institutes enrolling students in bulk, with mentor seats and faculty tools, sold at department, school, university and network levels. If you are buying for a class or a department, that is the route to compare against paying per entry: Institutional Access.
