The project is an approach of creating a settlement for 100 widowed women and their children. The war widows lost their foregoing homes. Moreover, they have lost their identity and the children have no more possibility to get education. The concept project involved through a deep reserach.
27Earthquake resistant city IranThe presented concept illustrates the creation of a district of the city that will minimize the negative effects of the serious problem of our times, which is an earthquake. Our aim was to create an oasis in which people living in the city during the movements of the earth's crust are able to find shelter and receive basic medical care.
28WinnerTHE QALA COMMUNITYThe Qala Community is a new visionary intervention of a self-sustained community inspired by the historical tradition of afghan living and crafting that is ingrained within the land. The concepts provide the widows of Zanabad with a haven for living, working, learning, and nurturing future generations; together weaving a mutual system of co-dependence.
