If saving an education or experience entry failed with a server error, try it again now. That was a platform fault, not anything about your account, your input or your membership, and it was fixed on 3 July 2026.
It hit entries whose degree, field or school name was one a lot of other members had already typed, "Architecture" being the obvious example. Open your profile editor, add the entry again, and it saves normally, common names included. You do not need to change the wording.
Skills are a separate case
Skills were fixed on 15 August 2026. They ran through separate code that the July change did not touch, so until that date a skill could still refuse to save. Both now use the same duplicate-tolerant lookup, and the skills that used to fail most often, such as SketchUp and AutoCAD, save normally. It only happens with a handful of names, and it does not depend on your account.
If a skill will not save:
- Pick the skill from the suggestions that appear as you type rather than typing it out in full. The suggested entries save reliably.
- If you typed it by hand, change the capitalisation and try again. "SketchUp" and "sketchup" save where "Sketchup" may not.
- If neither works, email contact@uni.xyz with your username and the exact skill name, and it can be added for you.
Languages are handled the same way as education and save normally.
If a profile section still will not save
- Refresh the page and try once more, in case your session expired while the form was open.
- Check every required field is filled, including start and end dates.
- If it still fails, it is a platform problem. Email contact@uni.xyz with your username and the exact entry, and someone can look at the account.
