Open the work you are concerned about, use the three-dot menu to choose Report, pick Infringes my rights, or someone I know. and then Violation of competition guidelines, and describe what you saw.
Where to find the report option
Reports are filed against a piece of work, not against a vote or a voter. So start from the project, journal or publication itself.
- Open the competition page and go to its Entries section, or open the work directly from a feed or search.
- Click the three-dot menu on the card, or on the work's own page.
- Choose Report.
The leaderboard does not carry a report option, so use the Entries section or the work's own page instead. You will not see Report on your own work.
Filing the report
- Under What type of issue are you reporting?, choose Infringes my rights, or someone I know.
- Under Specify the issue, choose Violation of competition guidelines.
- Under Provide details, write what you saw in the Description box. You have up to 500 characters, so be specific and lead with the strongest point.
- Attach one supporting file if you have one. Accepted formats are JPEG, PNG, PDF, DOC and ZIP, up to 5 MB.
- Click Submit Report.
Some categories have no second step and go straight to the details screen.
What makes a report useful
The on-screen guidance asks you to:
- Be specific about the issue you are reporting.
- Include relevant context or background information.
- Avoid personal information in your description.
- Focus on the content or behaviour, not the person.
For suspected vote manipulation, that means dates and times, what you observed about the pattern of support, and a screenshot if you have one.
What happens next
You will get an email and an in-app notification confirming the report was received. The UNI team reviews it and you are notified again once the report is resolved, verified or rejected.
If you decide the report was a mistake, you can withdraw it.
Filing a report does not automatically remove or penalise anything. It opens a review.
