UNI's own front door, uni.xyz, is the community feed, so the pages about UNI itself live one step in. There are three kinds, and they answer different questions: uni.xyz/about introduces the platform, uni.xyz/story tells UNI's history, and the addresses under /about/ are landing pages written one per audience.
/about introduces the platform
uni.xyz/about is the front page for anyone who wants the overview before joining: what UNI is, what happens on it, and where to start. If you are sending someone a single link that explains UNI, send this one.
/story is the history
uni.xyz/story runs from the first competition posted on a static site in 2017 through to the platform now. It is the page to open if you want to know who UNI is before deciding whether to take part. It used to live at uni.xyz/about-uni; that old address still works and simply forwards to /story.
Anything under /about/ is a landing page for one kind of visitor
Each one introduces what UNI offers a particular audience:
- /about/designers, with its own pages for building a portfolio, UNI Membership, creator revenue and institutional access.
- /about/experts, with pages for becoming a juror, a curator or a mentor.
- /about/business, with pages for hosting a competition, listing one you already run, and partnering.
- /about/jurors, /about/testimonials and /about/uni-yearbook.
They are introductions to a part of the platform, not descriptions of the organisation.
How you reach each one
The site footer is the entry point for all of them, spread across four columns.
- About UNI, in the footer's About column, opens /about. Our Story, right next to it, opens /story.
- Build Portfolio, UNI Membership, Creator Revenue Sharing, Institutional Access and UNI Yearbook open the pages written for designers.
- Host a Competition, List a Competition and Become a Partner open the pages written for businesses.
- Become a Juror, Become a Curator, Become a Mentor and Jurors on UNI open the pages written for experts.

- What UNI is, and its history. Open /story.
- What UNI offers someone like you. Open the landing page for your role, from the list above.
- How something actually works, and what it costs. A landing page is written to introduce a thing, and the current, working detail lives with the feature itself: the page where you would act on it, and the help centre.
- Terms, privacy, copyright and conduct. None of these live under About. They are all under /policy, listed in every UNI policy page.
