Images on a project page are shown at a reduced size to keep the page quick. To see one at its full resolution, open it from the project's media section.
Open an image at full size
- Open the project page and scroll to Project Media.
- Hover over the image you want.
- Click the Open in new tab button that appears in the corner of the image. The original file opens in a new browser tab at full resolution.
The media section has a Grid view and a Full-width view, switched with the toggle beside the Project Media heading. Both offer the same Open in new tab button on hover.
Or use the gallery viewer
In grid view, hovering also shows a View in gallery button. That opens a full-screen viewer, which is usually the better way to look through a project:
- Zoom in and out with the magnifier button, then drag to move around a zoomed image.
- Step between images with the left and right arrow keys.
- Press Escape to close it.
- The viewer has its own Open in new tab button if you want the raw file after all.
Saving an image
Once the original is open in its own tab, you can right-click it and choose Save image as to keep a copy.
Every project carries a licence that sets out what other people may do with the work. It is shown on the project page in the column on the right. Check it before you reuse anything, and read Licences on your work if you are not sure what a particular licence allows.
If an image is slow to appear
Full-resolution design and architecture images are often very large, so opening one in a new tab can take a moment on a slow connection. The page itself loads a small version of each image first and swaps in the sharper one as it arrives, which is why an image can look soft for a second before it settles.
