Everything you save on UNI lands in one place, the Collections section of your profile. Liking is a separate action and is not collected anywhere you can browse, so if you want to be able to find something again, save it rather than like it.
Open your Collections
- Click your avatar in the top right of any page.
- Choose My Bookmarks.
That opens Collections on your profile, at uni.xyz/profile/edit/<your-username>/bookmarks. You can also get there from the Collections item in your own profile menu, or the Collections tab on your profile.
The avatar menu says "My Bookmarks" and the page it opens says "Collections". Those are two names for the same page, not two features.
What you will find there
Across the top of the page are filter buttons, each with a count:
- All
- Competitions
- Projects
- Journals
- Publications
- Inspirations, meaning images you saved while browsing Inspirations
Choose one to narrow the page to that kind of work, or stay on All to see everything together.
How something gets in there
Saving is one click on the bookmark icon, the small ribbon shaped like a page marker. There is no separate "add to collection" step: saving something is what puts it in Collections.
The icon sits with the other actions on the item's own page, and on the cards in most listings. What is written next to it varies:
- On a project page, the word Save appears under the icon.
- On a publication page, the button reads Bookmark, and changes to Bookmarked once saved.
- Everywhere else it is the ribbon on its own, with Bookmark as its tooltip.
Clicking a filled ribbon again takes the item back out of Collections.
One thing worth knowing before you save: the author is told. Saving a project, journal, publication or image sends its author a notification saying you added it to a collection. Competition organisers get the same when you save a competition.
Liking is not saving
Liking adds to the number shown on the item, and the author can see that total. It does not put anything in your Collections, and there is no page on UNI that lists what you have liked. If you liked a project months ago and want it back, there is no history to open, so search for it by its title or by the person who made it. This is the single most common mix-up in this area. The heart and the ribbon look similar and sit next to each other, but only the ribbon gives you something to come back to.
In a competition, a like is a vote
During a competition's public voting window, liking an entry is how a vote gets cast. There is no separate vote button. How do I vote? Public voting on competition entries explains the window and the one-person-one-vote rule.
Saving an entry does not vote for it, and voting does not save it. If you want to do both, use both.
Your Collections are public
Collections is a public tab on a profile. Anyone who opens uni.xyz/profile/<username>/bookmarks can see the projects, publications, journals and competitions that person has saved, and the same is true of yours. The tab is not shown at all on a profile where nothing has been saved.
Inspirations images are the exception. They appear on your own Collections page and not on the public view of it.
Saved courses
A course page has a bookmark control of its own, but saved courses are not among the Collections filters and do not appear on the page. To go back to a course you saved, open it from the course catalogue.
