Open the competition and go to its Awards & Fees section. It lists the grants and the registration fees for the current round and for the rounds after it.
Where to find it
- Open the competition from the competitions feed.
- In the left sidebar, select Awards & Fees. On a narrow screen it is one of the tabs across the top instead.
- The section opens as a timeline of rounds. Select Load More at the bottom to see rounds further ahead.

What each round shows
Every round in the timeline is split into two columns.
- Current round grants or Next round grants on the left. Each award shows its name and a description of everything it carries. That is often cash plus something else, such as a membership, a certificate or a featured article, so read the description rather than assuming the award is cash only.
- Registration fees on the right, listing a price per entry for each fee category. Categories are usually named Students, Professionals and Institutional Access, though a competition can name its own. Fees are shown in US dollars.
Above the first round, the page shows how many registrations are left before that round closes.
When the amounts go up
Competitions on UNI use one of two fee models, and only one of them escalates.
- Dynamic fees move with the number of registrations. Each round is a band of entry counts. When registrations cross into the next band, new registrations pay that band's price and the prize pool rises to that band's amount. This is why the section shows future rounds at all.
- Static fees are fixed per registration window and do not move with the number of entries. A static competition still has rounds if the organizer priced its windows differently, but the amounts do not respond to participation.
The section tells you which applies: a dynamic competition shows the explanatory cards about how awards and fees grow, and a static one does not.

Two things to check before you register
- You pay the band you register in. Registering earlier costs less, and you still compete for whatever the prize pool grows to by the end.
