Competition updates reach you in three places: the competition page, your notifications, and email. There is no separate announcements feed to subscribe to.
The competition page
The competition page at uni.xyz/competitions/{slug} carries the current state of a competition: the brief, eligibility, awards, jury, partners, pricing, and the schedule. When something changes, it changes there.
Scheduled items live on the schedule, listed under the names the competition has set:
- Registration Opens
- Registration Deadline
- Submission Opens
- Submission Deadline
- Voting Opens
- Voting Deadline
- Results Announcement
Each competition also has a Discussions area for questions and comments about that competition.
Notifications
When a competition publishes its shortlist, and again when it publishes results, you get a notification on the platform that links straight to the competition's entries page. Check the notification bell in the top bar.
You get these if you have an entry with work attached to it, or if you have bookmarked the competition. An entry you registered but never connected any work to does not trigger them, so attach your project.
Email is used for time-sensitive items.
- Submission deadline reminders, sent in waves as the deadline approaches: roughly a month out, a week out, 48 hours out, and 12 hours out.
- Stage emails when the competition finishes reviewing entries, publishes its shortlist, and publishes results.
These go to the address on your account, so keep it current.
If an update you expected has not arrived
- Open the competition page and check its schedule. Phases move when the competition marks them complete, not on a fixed clock, so a date passing does not by itself mean the phase is done.
- Check the notification bell, and your email including its spam folder.
- If it still does not add up, contact the UNI team with the competition name.
