What Benefits Do Awards and Acknowledgments Bring in UNI's Institutional Access?

Explore the rewarding journey of recognition and achievement through UNI's Institutional Access, where every entry holds the potential for global acclaim.

Entries submitted through Institutional Access are judged alongside every other entry in the competition, and there is one extra award that only institutions can win.

The regular awards

Institutional Access entries go to the same lead jury panel as individual entries and compete for the same awards listed on the competition page. The entry route makes no difference to how the work is judged.

Results are announced openly once the competition period is over, with an international winner for the competition and a winner from each institutional access.

The Institutional Excellence Award

Alongside the regular awards, UNI declares one Institutional Excellence Award per institution in a competition. It is decided on the combined score from mentors and lead jurors, where those apply.

The published rule is that an institution needs at least ten entries in that competition for the award to be given. If your class enters fewer than that, its entries still compete for every regular award.

An Institutional Excellence Award appears on the winning project as a trophy badge, in the same place as any other competition award.

Feedback from the jury

Every entry is scored against the competition's evaluation criteria, and the scores come back through the entry's analytics.

  1. Go to your profile and open Competitions.
  2. Open the entry and choose Analytics.
  3. Read the jury section. It shows how many jurors took part, the criteria used, the rounds completed and the average score, with a breakdown per criterion.

Juror identities are not shown, and this feedback is visible only to you and your team members. Some jurors also leave written comments publicly on the project page itself.

Certificates

Participation and winner certificates are generated on request once the competition reaches the right stage. The project has to be published for a certificate to generate.
