No. Views on UNI are an engagement count, not a payment. There is no per-view rate, no advertising revenue share, and nothing is paid automatically for likes, followers or traffic.
There is one programme that turns views into money, and you have to join it.
Creator Revenue Sharing
Creator Revenue Sharing pays enrolled creators a share of UNI's monthly membership revenue. It is opt in, and your application has to be approved before you earn anything.
The parts worth knowing before you apply:
- Only member views count. The money comes from membership fees, so views from signed-out visitors and free accounts earn nothing. The public view count on your project includes everyone, which is why that number and your balance rarely look related.
- Views are counted as unique members per month across your projects, journals and publications. Ten visits from the same member in a month count once, and your own views of your own work are excluded.
- Your own membership multiplies the views counted for you. Monthly, Semester and Annual count 2x, Studio 4x, Institutional 8x, and no active membership 1x.
- You can apply if your profile score is 9.00 or above, or if you hold an active UNI membership.
- The minimum withdrawal is $100, paid in USD.
Apply from the Creator Revenue Sharing card at uni.xyz/accounts/settings/payout. Creator Revenue Sharing has the full rules, and collecting your payout covers the withdrawal itself.
The other way money reaches you
Competition prizes. Each competition sets its own awards, they are listed on the competition page, and winners claim them through the award closure form after results. See claiming prize money.
Prize money and Creator Revenue Sharing are separate. The Request Withdrawal button on the payout page pays out creator earnings, not competition prizes.
If you think a payment is missing
If you believe you are owed something specific, such as an announced prize that has not arrived or an approved withdrawal you have not received, email contact@uni.xyz or ask to open a conversation with the UNI team. Include the competition name or the withdrawal date and amount so your case can be looked up.
