Sharing a competition earns you nothing on its own. The free week is granted at one specific moment: when a person who created their UNI account through your referral link completes their first paid transaction. If you shared a link and no week arrived, one of those two steps has not happened yet.
Two things have to happen, in this order
- Someone new creates a UNI account with your referral tag in the address. The tag is
?ref=yourusername, and it is read at the instant the account is created, from the address of the sign-up page itself. If the person opens your shared link, browses the site and then signs up from the menu, the tag is dropped on the way and no referral is recorded against them. - That person then makes their first paid purchase. A membership, a paid competition entry or a course all count. It has to be a real gateway payment above zero, and it has to be the first successful payment on that account. Registering for a free competition is not a payment, and neither is a purchase the UNI team records by hand.
Sign-ups alone earn nothing. If nobody you referred ever pays for anything, no week is ever due.
The reward is a Weekly membership, for both of you
When that first payment is confirmed, you and the person you referred each receive a Weekly membership: 7 days, the same plan sold at $9.67. It carries 7 agent render credits, no included competition entries, no project rating and no verified badge. Membership tiers sets out what each plan does.
The week is created the moment the payment succeeds, and you are both emailed. If you already hold a Weekly membership, the new week is added to the end of it. Otherwise it starts on the day it is granted, so it runs alongside any longer plan you hold rather than extending it.
Nothing caps how many weeks you can earn. Each person you referred who pays for the first time is worth one week.
There is no referrals screen
Your account does not list the people you referred, and there is no counter showing how close any of them are to a first purchase. You learn about a reward two ways: the email that arrives when it is granted, and Settings, then Membership, at uni.xyz/accounts/settings/membership, which shows your current plan and its end date.
Where your referral link is
Open your profile, select Edit, then the About section. The Refer & Earn card in the sidebar holds your link and a Copy button. It reads https://uni.xyz?ref=yourusername.
Send that as the link the person signs up from. The share buttons on a competition page add the same tag, but only while you are signed in: shared while signed out, they post a plain link that credits nobody.
If you believe both steps happened
A referral is recorded at sign-up and cannot be attached to an account afterwards, so a lost tag cannot be reconstructed later from the share. If you are confident that someone signed up through your link and has since paid for something, and no week appeared, do not keep waiting on it. Contact the UNI team with your username, the username of the person you referred and roughly when they paid, and ask for the referral to be checked by hand: Contact human support.
