AI video generation: who can use it and what it costs

The UNIfy assistant can generate 4, 6 or 8 second videos with audio. It needs a Semester membership or above, plus credits.

The UNIfy assistant can generate short videos with audio, 4, 6 or 8 seconds long, from a description, or by animating an image already in your conversation such as a render it just made.

Who can use it

Video generation needs an active Semester membership ($69.88) or above, so Semester, Annual, Studio or Institutional, plus render credits. Weekly and Monthly members cannot generate video even when they hold credits.

Credit cost

Video costs far more than an image because it is priced per second of footage.

Tier Resolution Credits per second 4s 6s 8s
Light 720p 2 8 12 16
Fast 1080p 5 20 30 40
Quality 1080p 15 60 90 120

Your membership includes credits: Semester 150, Annual 250, Studio 750, Institutional 2500. You can top up at any time with a credit pack from uni.xyz/unify/render, which start at $5 for 50 credits.

The assistant tells you the cost and waits for you to approve it before anything is charged, so you are never billed by surprise. If you do not have enough credits it says so and suggests a shorter clip or a cheaper tier instead of charging you.

How to use it

Ask the assistant in chat, for example "make an 8 second fly-through of this render" or "generate a 4 second clip of a timber pavilion at golden hour". Describe the camera movement (dolly, pan, orbit), the lighting and the mood, because richer descriptions give much better results. You can also ask it to animate an image from an earlier render.

Generation takes about a minute and the clip appears in the chat when it is ready. If it fails, the credits are put back automatically.

Landscape (16:9) and vertical (9:16) are both supported, so you can make clips for reels.
