Your enrolment and every tick of progress on it survive. Nothing is deleted when a membership ends and nothing has to be rebuilt when you come back. What stops is your ability to open the lessons, and it stops the moment the membership does.
No course on UNI currently requires a membership, so this is the rule rather than something you are likely to be hitting today. It works the same way for a course bought outright and for an institutional seat.
Entitlement is checked per lesson, not once at enrolment
Enrolling does not bank access. Every lesson, quiz and assignment you open asks again whether you are entitled to the course right now. While the membership is live the answer is yes. The day it lapses the answer is no, on the same course you were already enrolled in.
The course page will still say Continue
This is the confusing part, and it is worth knowing before it happens. The button on the course landing page reads your enrolment, not your entitlement, so it keeps offering Continue with your percentage beside it. Selecting it takes you to a lesson that will not open.
The lesson page then sends you to the sign-in screen even though you are already signed in. Signing in again will not help, because you were never signed out. Read a bounce to sign-in from a course you were part-way through as a lapsed entitlement, not a broken session.
What you keep
- Your enrolment, so there is nothing to re-enrol in.
- Every completed lesson, at the percentage you left it.
- Your resume position in each video.
- Quiz and exam attempts already used, and any pass already earned.
- Assignment submissions, grades and feedback.
- A certificate already issued is permanent. It is not withdrawn and its verification page keeps working.
Renew and everything is where you left it. There is no re-enrolment step and no backfill to run.
Which membership opens which course
A course may name a minimum plan. The plans rank Weekly, Monthly, Semester, Annual, Studio, then Institutional, and yours has to sit at or above the one the course names. A course that names no minimum opens for any live membership.
