There is nothing to cancel on UNI, and there is no refund button. Every membership is a one-time purchase that expires on its own, and refunds are narrow, published exceptions handled by a person.
There is no subscription to cancel
A UNI membership is bought once and runs for a fixed number of days, then stops. Checkout says so before you pay. You are not charged again, no card is kept on file for renewal, and there is no cancel switch in your account settings because there is no recurring billing to switch off.
If you want to keep your access going, you buy again when it ends.
When a membership can be refunded
- Weekly and Monthly memberships are non-refundable.
- Semester, Annual, Studio and Institutional memberships are non-refundable after 30 days. Within 30 days of purchase, write to contact@uni.xyz and the team will review it case by case; there is no automatic refund and no self-serve button.
- The 7.5% payment gateway charge is non-refundable in every case.
- There is no way to cancel a membership yourself, and nothing cancels one automatically. A membership simply runs to its end date. Entries you have already registered stay registered.
Outside those windows, membership fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. Refunds for a technical error or a duplicate charge may be issued at UNI's discretion.
Competition entry fees
Entry fees are non-refundable once an entry is registered.
Organizers set their own refund terms for their competitions. UNI processes the payment but does not guarantee a refund on an entry fee unless the organizer's stated policy allows it or the law requires it. Read the competition's own terms before you pay.
There is also no credit, voucher or carry-over on UNI. A paid entry fee cannot be moved to a different competition, and a membership does not change that. Shifting an entry fee to another competition covers this in full.
How to ask for a refund
There is no self-serve refund form. Every request is read by a person and decided case by case.
- Email contact@uni.xyz from the address on your account, or ask to open a conversation with the UNI team.
- Include the date of the payment, the exact amount, and what you were paying for.
- If it is a duplicate charge, include both transaction records. You can find them under transaction history.
Report an unauthorised charge within 30 days of the transaction.
What the platform cannot do
- It cannot issue a refund automatically or on a fixed timetable.
- It cannot convert a payment into credit, a voucher or a balance.
- It cannot move an entry fee from one competition to another.
- It cannot cancel a recurring charge, because there is no recurring charge.
The full terms are in the Terms of Service and the payment liability policy.
