Open the course page and scroll to Ratings and reviews. If you are enrolled there is a Write a review button in that section. Give a star rating, add a comment if you want to, and submit.
You have to be enrolled to review. That is the only requirement: no minimum percentage, no need to have finished the course, no waiting period. If the button is not there, check that you are enrolled rather than only watching. Enrolling in a course covers the difference, which is easy to miss because watching works without enrolling.
What a review is made of
- A star rating from 1 to 5. Required. The form will not submit without one.
- Written comments. Optional, up to 2,000 characters.
Your review is public. It carries your username and avatar and links to your profile, so write it as something with your name on it.
One review per person, and submitting again replaces it
You cannot leave a second review on the same course. Open the form again, change the stars or the text, submit, and it replaces what you left rather than adding to it. The course's average and the bars beside it update straight away.
There is no way to delete your own review. If you need one removed rather than changed, contact support.
What the section shows
The large number is the course's average across every review it has. The bars underneath break that down by star rating, again across every review. The list below shows the most recent reviews, capped at the latest hundred, so on a heavily reviewed course the average counts more reviews than the list displays.
Ratings feed the catalogue's Top rated sort, which is the practical reason a review is worth leaving: it is what moves a good course up the list for the next person looking.
Reviewing is per course, not per cohort
If you took the course as part of a class, your review still attaches to the course itself and sits with everyone else's. There is no separate rating for a cohort, and none for an individual instructor.
