Your discipline probably does have a topic page, and Explore Topics can show it to you. The first screen is only a selection of topics; the full list sits one click away.
What Explore Topics shows
Open uni.xyz/topic/ and you land on Explore Topics. The top of the page has a Search topics box. Below it are rows of topics: some that are active right now, competitions you can enter, newly emerging topics, and several themed groups such as design disciplines, building typologies, materials and software. Each row has a View all button that opens the whole of that row.
A row shows only a handful of topics, so a topic can be missing from the first screen and still be listed in full behind View all or in the directory.
Browse every topic
At the bottom of the page, Browse all topics A-Z opens the directory: every topic that has published work or discussion filed under it. You can:
- Sort it by Trending, Most works or A-Z. It opens on Trending.
- Page through it with first and last page buttons, and choose 30, 60 or 90 topics per page.
A topic with nothing filed under it yet does not appear in the directory, but it still has a page.
Other ways to reach a topic
- Search topics at the top of Explore Topics. Type the name and pick a result.
- Click the discipline on a piece of work. Every project, journal and publication shows the disciplines set on it, and each one links straight to that topic.
- Type the address. A topic's address is its name in lower case with hyphens in place of spaces:
uni.xyz/topic/rammed-earth,uni.xyz/topic/3d-printing.
If the address does not open
- The topic exists but the address is not what you guessed. Punctuation and word order have to match. "3D printing" is
3d-printing. Reaching the topic from a piece of work that carries it settles this in one click. - There is no topic for that word. Topics are created by the UNI team one at a time. Tagging your work with a word never creates one. Why your tag does not have a topic page covers what to do instead.
