Guillem Carrera
Chief architect, GUILLEM CARRERA arquitecte, Spain
Guillem Carrera, Tarragona (1979), architect, studies at the Technical School of Architecture of Barcelona of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, where he is licensed in 2004 with a project of a Leisure Center in Hellinikon, Athens, Greece . During his studies he participated in international workshops in Italy and Spain. In 2005, he opened an architecture, landscape design, interior design, restoration and rehabilitation studio. His achievements have been published in industry journals, architecture books and specialized web platforms. "The possibility of participating in two very important aspects of society, such as architecture and urban planning, and in extension, the conception of buildings, spaces or living environments in a respectful way with the places and the environment that surrounds them, And the benefits that these can bring to people, are my motivation as an architect. "
Gerrit Schilder jr.
Principal Architect, SchilderScholte architecture+, Netherlands
Gerrit Schilder jr., started his own design office back in 1997. With the years the office evolved from an exclusive interior design office to an architectural office and attained the position as a respectable and admired design office in the Netherlands. Since its inception in 2013, SchilderScholte has made its presence felt through circulair, colourful and notable designs. The motto Space is Emotion can be sensed in every project of the office, whereby individuality, impact and experience predominate. Arose from the concept of Awasteness, the office aims to leave a positive influence on the environment through responsive and responsible designs. Reusability of products and raw materials is paramount. Gerrit Schilder jr. holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design and a Master's degree in Architecture. He is past president of the Dutch Interior Architects Association and secretary general of the European Council of Interior Architects. Founded by Gerrit Schilder jr. and Hill Scholte, the work of SchilderScholte has been published, exhibited and awarded several times worldwide. In 2015 SchilderScholte won a Dutch Design Award, an AZ award in Toronto, and two Finest Interior Awards in Berlin, plus a silver medal in the Asia Architecture Award. In 2016 followed by a FuturArc Green Leadership Award in Singapore. SchilderScholte's projects have been exhibited twice during the Architecture Biennale in Venice.
