Gregorio Lubroth

Gregorio Santamaria Lubroth was born in the United States in 1978. He received a bachelor's degree in history and fine arts from Wesleyan University in 2000 and a master's degree in architecture from Yale University in 2007. In 2000 he was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship in Turkey, Syria, and Central Asia to study medieval caravan stops. After a year in the Near East, he returned to New York City to work in the fields of architecture, urban design, and fine arts. In 2007 he co-founded Tzou Lubroth Architekten together with Chieh-shu Tzou. In 2016 he co-founded the urban design collaborative Team Wien. Gregorio Lubroth is currently an assistant professor at Studio Sejima in the University of Applied Arts.
Baerbel Mueller

Baerbel Mueller is an architect and researcher based in Austria and Ghana. She is associate professor and head of the [applied] Foreign Affairs lab at the Institute of Architecture at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, which investigates spatial and cultural phenomena in rural and urban Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle-East, and founder of nav_s baerbel mueller [navigations in the field of architecture and urban research within diverse cultural contexts]. Her work comprises architecture, urban research, installations, scenography, and curatorial projects, and has been widely exhibited; e.g. at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2006, the Architekturmuseum Pinakothek Munich in 2013, and the Marrakech Biennial in 2016. She received various prizes and scholarships. In 2015, she was awarded with the Ars Docendi State Award for excellence in teaching by the Republic of Austria. In 2017, she edited [applied] Foreign Affairs : investigation spatial phenomena in rural and urban Sub Saharan Africa.
Atanas Zhelev

Atanas has received degree in Engineering from Tokyo University of Science in Japan and received a Master Degree of Architecture from The University of Applied Arts in Vienna. He was part of the famous Studio of Zaha Hadid in Vienna between 2013 and 2015. In 2016, together with Executive Partners: COO – Mariya Korolova and CTO Iurii Suchak he founded Digital Architects. Core value of the company is to provide Design, Engineering and Materialisation services for highly efficient, functionally articulated and uniquely shaped architecture. From April 2017, Atanas has joined University of Innsbruck, Institute of Experimental Architecture – Hochbau as PhD Researcher working on development of material technologies for highly efficient double curved structural surfaces together with Prof. Rames Najjar. He is also a consultant to other organisations in the field of technical and organisational innovations in architecture such as Indo-Austrian NGO Thinking Hand and Reparametrize Studio. He is also the strategic partner of Gold Ventures Incubator/Investment in Austria, providing various expertise in for the Austrian startup scene.
