James Armstrong is an award-winning Sydney-based graphic designer with 28 years’ experience in graphic design and advertising disciplines. James began his career working for McCann-Erickson Advertising, M&C Saatchi and Saatchi & Saatchi. His company is an independently owned Australian small business, based in Sydney, and operating since 1999. James's expertise is branding/visual identity, communications, publication and infographic design. He has won 23 industry awards for creativity. Major clients include Qantas Airways (over 7 years) and the Australian Government (since 2009).

Ellen Lupton is Senior Curator of Contemporary Design at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York City. Her exhibitions include “Herbert Bayer: Bauhaus Master,” “Face Values: Understanding Artificial Intelligence,” “How Posters Work,” and “The Senses: Design Beyond Vision.” Lupton is the Betty Cooke and William O. Steinmetz Design Chair at MICA in Baltimore, where she has authored numerous books on design processes, including "Thinking with Type," "Graphic Design Thinking," and "Graphic Design: The New Basics." Her recent books “Design Is Storytelling” and “Health Design Thinking” were published by Cooper Hewitt. She is an AIGA Gold Medalist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.

Nigel Holmes

Born in England in 1942, Nigel Holmes moved to the US in 1978. After 16 years at Time Magazine, he started his own information design business, Explanation Graphics. His latest book (of 12) is "The Bigger Book of Everything" (2020). In 2009, the Society for News Design gave him its Lifetime Achievement Award. He has been nominated four times for a National Design Award. Awarded the Ladislav Sutner Prize in 2020.
