People and the built environment

When we started creating things/places for our basic functions and needs, architecture was invented. Dwellings and establishments were creative, innovative and functional even before architecture was made into a profession. And as we still live and adapt to our surroundings by our methods, the innovation and technique in creating architecture still exist, just overlooked. These architectural elements manifest in the form of vernacular and even modern typologies where people with group/sole creative thinking come up with solutions for their housing/community/personal issues.

Document this relationship between the built environment and people through a photograph.

This photo series aims to break down the narrow perception about architecture beyond the professional fraternity and rigid functionality, by picturing architecture through the eyes of a non-architect. The brief/theme of the challenge is to make a picture story using not more than 8 images – along with a concept note.
