Gunter P. J. Bürk

Gunter Buerk was born in Villingen-Schwenningen. He finished his studies on architecture at the TU of Stuttgart in 1967 and completed his studies in city planning in 1968 at the TU of Mainz. Then, in 1969 with one year of experience he joined the office of Perkings & Will in Washington D. C., where he was nominated as a vice president and design principal in 1981 and as a senior vice president in 1984. From 1988 to 1990 he also was a guest lecturer at the Catholic University of America. In 1991 he became Managing Partner at J.S.K International Perkings & Will Architekten und Ingenieure GmbH in Frankfurt and opened the office of J.S.K. Architekten Berlin in 1992. In 2013 Gunter Bürk and his daughter Nicola Medrow-Bürk founded the office GBP Architkten in Berlin as a successor of J.S.K. Berlin. With it´s strong team that comprises more than 75 people GBP Architekten works on a national and international scale, specialized in Hotels, Residential Buildings, Office Buildings, Event Buildings and also urban planning. The office develops architectural solutions on new buildings as well as for conversion of existing buildings. Gunter Bürk is a award-winning architectural designer and planer. In 2013 Gunter Bürk won the MIPIM Award with „the squire“ in the category „Best Office and Business Developement“. Further he won the CTBUH Award with the „Tornadotower“ in Doha, Katar as „Best Skyscraper in Middle East and Africa“.
Mond Qu

Designer, narrative animator, and digital craftsman. Mond Qu is the founder of United Make, an experimental think-tank and multi-disciplinary studio based in Melbourne. Mond pushes the frontiers of design through the act of making; from deep materials research, visceral immersive experiences, interactive artworks and modular furniture, to large-scale speculations. Working in research, practice, and teaching internationally, Mond challenges designers to innovate and embrace the challenges of the 21st century.
Catherine Otondo

Catherine Otondo is an architect graduated from FAU_USP in 1994. In 2013 she received a PhD from the same institution with the presentation of the thesis: "Design and built space; Relations between thinking and doing in the work of Paulo Mendes da Rocha ". About the architect's work he also published the books: Paper Models (2007) in São Paulo, Architecture Itineraries - Paulo Mendes da Rocha (2012) in Cordoba, Spain; and most recently the book Casa Butantã, about the architects house, also in São Paulo. She teaches Project IV at the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo. She is the founder of f Base Urbana office in partnership with the architect Marina Grinover. The office develops projects in the various scales of architecture and urban design.
Mattia Santi
Director, SASI Studio
Mattia Santi is an Architect and Engineer with extensive experience in Architecture, Real Estate and Design. He previously worked as Senior Architect at Zaha Hadid Architects, after having worked Robofold, Farshid Moussavi Architects, Alvisi Kirimoto & Partners and SPSK. Mattia holds a MArch in Architecture and Urbanism (DRL) from the Architectural Association and a MEng in Architectural Engineering with honours from University of Rome Tor Vergata. He is tutor at the Architectural Association School of Architecture and visiting tutor at NCUT. Mattia is Part III Architect registered at RIBA and ARB. He is also a registered Engineer at OdIR (Ordine degli Ingegneri di Roma).
