No. We do not pass on another member's drawings or model files, and there is no way to request them through us.
A project page shows what its author chose to publish: the boards, images, video, and the written description. Editable CAD and DWG files, working drawings, and source models are not part of that. If a plan or a section is not on the boards, it is not available to you.
Why, even when the files exist
An author can keep drawings, reports, and models in a Resources folder attached to their project. That folder is private to the project team. It never appears on the public project page, downloads work only for signed-in team members, and there is no setting that makes it public. Seeing a project has never given anyone access to its files.
The work is also the author's, not ours. A licence shown on a project covers what you may do with what has been published. It does not entitle you to the files behind it, and we will not release them on the author's behalf or ask them to on yours.
What to do instead
- Read the boards properly. Many projects publish plans, sections, details, and the design rationale as images on the boards. That is often what people actually needed.
- Ask the author. Every project page links to the author's profile from the sidebar. Message them from there. A request for files, or for permission to reference a design, is theirs to grant, and it lands better coming from you than routed through us.
- Look for comparable work. If you need a reference rather than this specific project, search across projects, or open a discipline tag from a project page to find other work filed under it.
We know this is not the answer people want, especially with a deadline coming. It is better than sending you looking for something that was never on the page.
