The Library Of Growth

            Concept

     Books have been the generator of abundant knowledge since ancient times, they have helped mankind to evolve and flourish throughout the ages.

    The main idea of the library is taken from the chart of human growth, as long as a person grows from childhood to adolescence and then to adulthood, he has physical growth, and at the same time, he grows mentally and intellectually by reading books. We wanted to depict the process of this growth in the facade and plan of the building.

       The children's hall is located in the southern part of the building, which is one floor. After that, we reach the youth hall, and then after passing through an intermediate space, we reach the adult hall, which is located on the top floor of the northern part. We have emphasized this growth process by tilting the ceilings.

The area of the plan increases from the children's side to the adult's side, and we have shown this growth in the plan as well.

       In the northern part of the plan, we retreated a little to create a view on the site. We placed the middle part of the building in the heart of the earth so that the building would grow out of the heart of the earth like a bud, and by this we have emphasized our main idea. And there is a space for sitting under the building.

• Plan

Plans should be designed in a flexible and multi-purpose way. In this way, most of the spaces are forced to change the arrangement and become a bigger space. Our greatest effort was to provide the various items such as Using portable partitions ,  some spaces to increase creativity and learning hub next to the children's reading room, …  that its use would encourage children to study.

Teenagers who are suffering from mental injuries can use this learning hub with experienced people and spend hours with successful and healthy people and interact with them to prepare for entering a new world without mental problems.

    The habit of reading should be inculcated in a person in childhood so that it continues until adulthood.

For this reason, we focused on the design of the plan for the children's section.

Exhibition spaces, restaurants and multimedia service spaces are the spaces needed for library visitors, which we have considered in the plan.

At the same time, the spaces are independent and interact with each other.

Growth, which is the main concept of our work, can be seen in all parts of the plan.

In the volume, in the process of the plan and even in the center of the plan, with the view where the plants raise their heads towards the sky, we can see the essence of the design and the main concept of the design.

• Innovative approach

In order to innovate in the library space and remove it from the traditional space , spaces are designed to increase interactions in the space during teaching and learning.

• Material

Transparent concrete ( children section )

    The use of nanotechnology has made it possible to produce transparent concrete, which has created a great change in the design of buildings and urban structures such as bridges.

    Transparent concrete can transmit light up to 20 meters across the concrete without loss of brightness.

     Due to the hot climate of the region and the preference of not using glass extensively for the study hall, the use of this material in this library transfers more natural light into the study hall and this can lead to a large reduction in the amount of electricity used for Light the building.

The facade of the northern part of the volume, which includes the restaurant, administrative department, book storage, etc., is covered with glass, which can be used with electric curtains to prevent direct light during certain hours of the day and to enjoy the beautiful view during other hours.

• Ventilation

The empty spaces under the building help ventilation and air circulation, which in turn reduces the humidity in the building.

• Name

We showed the growth in the facade, volume and plan of the building and for this reason we named this building The Library Of Growth
