In a world of beauty vs. utility, pictuRESQ unifies both. It may not be the ultimate solution: yet, it is the practical idea. We give you a neighborhood block centralized around a basic yet critical school, that incorporates scalability of social cohesion, sustainable development and a bottom-up approach to flood relief housing.
The Expandables
Create a flexible closed space for kids that whenever weather is OK, merges with adjacent open spaces to create a larger area. A space that can change its form in accordance to airflow and other climatic parameters.
Diffusion boxes
We take growing organically as our core concept. Everyone is provided with a modular shared unit and can choose the location by themselves. The space of the units mixes different functions and blurs the boundary between public space and urban space. This vague, integrated and participatory space allows people to create more wonderful stories in Paris.
The project needs more contextualization
Nice geometrical resolution trough the hexagon but lacking a better relation between hexagons and both the lateral spaces of the train and the city.
A nice idea for a blank canvas site, however this brief calls for more of a site specific solution

Hollow cylinder shape of the building divide the site area for open public around it and semi-public inside. As a one of the first buildings in this area it does not define future structures. It?s shape is inclusive with no better side.
