Marina Obretenova

I am a pre-diploma architecture student in the department of Public Buildings in the University of Architecture Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Sofia, Bulgaria. I strongly relate to the way of approaching architecture as a system of relationships between people, space, narrative and research. What interests me the most is the ability of architecture not only to solve functional problems, but also to communicate ideas, emotions and new ways of experiencing the city.In my academic work, I often explore architecture through experimental and concept-driven projects. My work ranges from public and urban design projects to spatial narratives investigating perception, inner monologue, movement and human interaction. Alongside conceptual thinking, I am also deeply interested in the translation of systems and research into spatial organisation, diagrams and architectural form.As an extremely ambitious student, I try not to miss any possible opportunity that can enrich my knowledge to the most and show me the reality of the profession. Qualities such as excellent teamwork, organisation skills, absolute dedication & multifunctionality are the key for me.
