Conserving Modernity: A Dialogue Between Past and Future of Khulna Divisional Library
Conserving Modernity reimagines the 1964 Khulna Divisional Library as a dialogue between heritage and contemporary intervention. Guided by “Timeless Convergence,” it preserves modernist identity while introducing adaptive civic spaces that reactivate public engagement through flexible programs, cultural exchange, and climate-responsive design.
The Rain
This master’s thesis reinterprets the Shenzhen Opera House brief, reimagining it as an open civic landscape shaped by the concept of “Rain,” where Shenzhen’s subtropical climate becomes a spatial system that dissolves the boundary between architecture and public space.
What a remarkable project!!!Making rain the central design concept gives it a truly unique identity and beautifully strengthens the building`s connection ti its natural surroundings!
I find the use of the water elements in the design of the buildings and the landscape very unique and inspiring
The element of rain, by the seaside, especially continuing inside the building, is an amazing idea. Inspiration and creativity beyond the usual!

The Civic Imagination: Re-evaluating Rochdale Town Hall Through a Pattern Language for Contemporary Civic Life
A Grade I-listed Victorian Gothic landmark through Christopher Alexander’s A Pattern Language. By overlaying ten spatial patterns onto the building’s plans and comparing it with Manchester and Oldham Town Halls, the study reveals how monumental civic heritage can be sensitively reactivated for inclusive, present-day community use without erasing its historic character. It argues for a shift from “preservation-as-static” to “heritage-as-catalyst,” using low-impact, reversible interventions.
Just read this dissertation and can’t stop thinking about it. The way pattern language becomes a vocabulary for how communities imagine together this is genuinely original work. Brilliant.

THE KARAIYAGAM-ARCHITECTURE THESIS
Karaiyagam – Coastal Public Realm explores the transformation of the coastal edge of Mahabalipuram into a meaningful public realm that reconnects people with the sea, heritage, and local identity. The project investigates the relationship between the historic coastal landscape, fishing communities, tourism, and everyday public life.
A strong and ambitious thesis that thoughtfully reconnects heritage, community, and the coastal landscape. Further prioritization and phasing of the many interventions could make this impressive public-realm strategy even more effective.

THE OASIS BIOME: A REGENERATIVE AGROECOSYSTEM
An inquiry into regenerative agro-structure through the design of The Oasis Biome, this report explores how architecture can act as a living ecosystem to support climate-resilient food production. Drawing from standards of agroecology, managed environment agriculture, and water-saving technology, it proposes a spatial systems where cultivation, conservation, and community empowerment intersect. The project is situated in Birulia, Savar, and serves as a design-primarily based academic research under the Bachelor of Architecture program at Southeast University.

The project focuses on creating a contemporary interpretation of the traditional vernacular house type originating from central Poland. As part of the design process, a unique method was developed, offering a structured framework for creative, research-driven reinterpretation of historical architectural forms with regional and cultural specificity.
