Why the google image about the competition looks like flat ground, but the CAD files showed that it has about 2m difference in terrain?
A. We source our terrain data/contours/isohyetal lines from a service called Digital globe. The site images are sourced from Google Earth and so the data is either mismatched or outdated due to land-use changes. The participants are required to follow the site plan drawing in the CAD file for technical detailing and refer to the site images for understanding of the context.
