Our project located on The Bronx , New York,USA .The whole content is mean to create a jazz performing center.Therefor we designed a challenging and creative jazz performing space.

Jazz York

Jazz York is designed using these founding principles of jazz music; improvisation, and change. Without either of these, jazz becomes conservative, and can it really be called jazz if it's conservative. While only trying to complement the performance space, the form is built around how the interior wants to look; pointing the viewer's eyes towards the stage.

How to combine jazz composition and improvisation and integrate it into the creative process of building design? This abstract transformation of musical vibration, along with materials related to the Bronx tradition (brick & metal), is recognized as a universal design principle that gives the building a timeless image.

The project reinforces the relationship between volume and stress, collecting the people and projects in this way. The highlighted spiral staircase that guides people going downstairs could be another stage for performance. like jazz could be played everywhere.
