PREMISE

With the global unrest coming to a slow down – these 6 months changed our dependence on our already steep dependence on technology to the extreme. 

Meetings shifted to zoom, restaurants shifted to uber eats, classroom shifting to Coursera - the list just begins. 
We have an app exactly for every single need today, and that’s not even surprising. 

It needs to be addressed that this is something that was not entirely unforeseen, the pace however needs addressing. 

This month’s Litera’s topic focuses on how our society and architecture will respond to an assertive technological push. Decide a facet (Work, Housing, Fashion, Food, etc.) on what intrigues you most about this shift. 

Research the internet, use interviews, or your observations in daily life fast-forwarding to build your research and answer the questions below in an essay of about 1000-1500 words and 3 images or less.

QUESTIONS

In your research, you should particularly reflect on what exactly it is about this particular facet that brings out an unprecedented upcoming transformation between the online and offline world. The views are expected to be analytical, instead purely utopian/dystopian approach across the subject. The essays are expected to be a guide

•    What parts of the facet were chosen and why is it relevant?
•    How do you perceive a human and social response to such change? (Psychological and Physical)
•    How do these changes pan out in long term?
•    What are/maybe upcoming allied technologies emerging accelerate/decelerate/alter these changes?
•    The biggest reason for rampant adoption is not just convenience, but cost as well. How will this rapid shift change economic patterns in city building?
•    What lessons/shifts can the architecture fraternity include in their teaching or practice?


Deliverables


Participants shall deliver an essay of about 1000 - 1500 words and less than 3 images, in a cohesive piece that answers the above questions and arguments based on them. The images need to be ensured that they are copyright free or you own their rights.
