Romea Muryń
Architect / Urban Planner, Romea Muryn Studio, Poland
Romea Muryń is a Polish architect and urban planner. After receiving her master’s degree from the West Pomeranian University of Technology and her bachelor’s degree from Copenhagen School of Design and Technology, she worked for 8 years as an architect in leading design practices —JDS, COBE, REX, BIG and OMA. Romea completed the postgraduate programme 'Hybrid Urbanism' at Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design and worked as a leading architect and urban strategist at KB Strelka in Moscow, Russia, taking part in the projects 'My Street' large-scale urban renovation program and, 'Key Public Spaces: Improvement in 40 Cities of Russia'. Romea was an adjunct Professor at INDA International Program in Design and Architecture, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. In addition to design and academic practice, Romea was a senior mentor at the 'Integrated Spatial Planning for Amalgamated Hromadas' and her work was representing Ukraine at the 15th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia. She is a co-founder of the studio Locument, established in 2015. Currently, she is a Program Director of 'Creating Homes for Tomorrow' and Editor-in-Chief at the CANactions.
Stephanie Kyuyoung Lee
Founder / Director, Office of Human Resources, United States
Stephanie is a spatial practitioner based in New York City. She directs the Office of Human Resources, a design studio that explores the intersection of post-colonial anxiety and utopian labor systems in the built/non-built environment. Stephanie studied Cultural Anthropology and Studio Art at Wesleyan University, and completed her Master of Architecture from Rice University. She gained professional experience from Shigeru Ban Architects in Japan; OPEN Architecture in China; and managed exhibitions, and fabrication for the artist Lee Bul, among others. She currently collaborates with Carlo Ratti Associati in New York, and Turin, Italy. She is a member of the Architecture Lobby (NY) and the 2020 Fellow for the Future Architecture Platform. Her writings and past collaborations have been featured in Architectural Record, The Telegraph, Financial Times, Hyperallergic, Fast Company, The Funambulist Magazine, PLAT, and Archifutures. She has been invited as a design critic and lecturer at several institutions including Parsons School of Design, Columbia University, Rice University, UC Berkeley, and the Museum of Architecture and Design in Ljubljana.
Víctor Muñoz Sanz
Assistant Professor, Delft University of Technology, Netherlands
Víctor Muñoz Sanz is an assistant professor at TU Delft. His research focuses on the implications for architecture and urbanization of technological transitions. Muñoz Sanz was a postdoctoral researcher at TU Delft in the project ‘Cities of Making’, and fellow at the Akademie Schloss Solitude. Prior to that, he was coordinator of the Jaap Bakema Study Centre, co-principal researcher of ‘Automated Landscapes’ at Het Nieuwe Instituut, and Emerging Curator at the Canadian Centre for Architecture. He is the co-editor of Habitat: Ecology Thinking in Architecture (2020) and an editor of the journal Footprint. His research on Automated Landscapes was exhibited at the Venice Biennale 2018.
