This project aims to create a new typology of retail by combining the physical manifestation of online shopping in the real world (i.e: Amazon Fulfillment Center) and the already established diagram of a linear marketplace, which will in turn increase the synergy of both online and offline retail in this project.

Upcycling Retail

The retail is an assembly of modular structure system, contains prefabricated units guided by main and secondary paths. The structure adapts for changing functions in the future. The units are designed to embrace different activities. Technological interventions are added to the physical store, to make interesting experience in the abundant site of Dixie.

Honoring the meaning of its French name, La Ruche is a true beehive and a collective work in progress. Our project offers activities for multi-generation, and attracts a wide span of actors. All activities are inter-connected within a circular economy, where collaboration is at the heart of the project and its inhabitant participate in building its identity.

Re-Spire is an approach to transforming shopping experience into a seamless,and engaging experience, and reviving Harvey into a cultural hub that celebrates and encourage local businesses. The design of the project is developed with two aspects in mind, effortless and streamlined, yet interesting circulation, and intertwining of interior and exterior space.

Our program intends to break the linear experience of existing retail space. The use of roller coaster tracks and mobile shelves allows for a more flexible retail space to follow the seasonal activities and povide more job opportunities.The North to South Corridor unicom North Park and the Southern Open Space provide a better chance for future.

In the future retail industry, convenient online shopping will account for the majority of the share. But online shopping can't meet the demand for fresh ingredients such as vegetables, fruits and flowers, and many people prefer to pick ingredients and even grow them themselves. In other words, the market will still exist in the future.

Inspired by the open markets of Middle Eastern Bazaars we've proposed a dynamic and ever-evolving facility that can be used for a variety of use types. All of which housed within a dramatic shell that passively provides power while tempering the climate within.

We accommodate both the online and offline advantages of being able to order quickly and easily. Users can use drive-throughs to quickly order and pick up and save their time. The mass that forms the building becomes the vehicle traffic and retail space, and several masses combine to have infinite extensibility.

The project is based on recalling the trade basics established on a seller - buyer relationship, direct contact with the customer and peoples' contact with the product. The project assumes a return to the medieval concept of the market as a meeting place and a center of social life. Our retail of the future is a retail moving back to human reality.
