Autodesk Recognizes Projects That Use Its Software at the 2022 Excellence Awards
Autodesk congratulates the winners of the 2022 Excellence Awards

Autodesk has revealed the winners of its annual Autodesk Excellence Awards, which honour projects that were developed using Autodesk software and "transform industries and accelerate innovation." The awards are separated into three categories: 'Architecture, Engineering & Construction,' 'Product Design & Manufacturing,' and 'Media & Entertainment.'

The winners, who will receive 3D-printed metal trophies, were chosen for their contributions to various fields including sustainable air transportation, clean energy in remote communities, and more. Autodesk stated that the winning projects "are creating amazing experiences, changing lives, and transforming our world for the better."
Six awards were presented in the Architecture, Engineering & Construction categories. Windover Construction was awarded the Accelerating Transformation Award for its use of state-of-the-art technology to renovate the historic Cabot Street YMCA in Beverly, Massachusetts. John Sisk and Sons received the AEC Innovator of the Year Award for utilizing a cloud-based digital project delivery system on a data centre project in Sweden, a method which reportedly increased efficiency by 50% according to Autodesk.

BuildX Studio was recognized with the Making a Better World Award for their Zima Homes project in Nairobi, Kenya, which consists of 137 units made from locally-sourced, low-carbon materials. Additionally, the Best Building Design Award was given to Shui On Joint Venture for their multi-welfare residential care facility in Hong Kong.

Stantec was awarded the Best Infrastructure Project for their Blue Green Corridors project in New Orleans, and the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo received the Best Construction Project Award for “complex design and the first major construction project in Egypt to implement BIM.”

The awards for the remaining two categories were distributed as follows:
