The design responds to the site’s topography and ecology by dividing the land into two distinct zones: a carefully landscaped area around the home and an untouched natural expanse. This thoughtful planning ensures minimal environmental disruption while enhancing the immersive experience of lakeside living. Approaching the home, visitors are greeted by a concealed high point and a trap rock courtyard, offering a sense of mystery and unveiling upon entry. A wooden portal frames the lake views, signaling transition and anticipation. Concrete lily pads scattered across the landscape lead to pathways that connect the home to the water’s edge, including an ADA accessible route, reinforcing inclusivity and thoughtful design.

The house’s structure is organized along a strong east-west axis, anchored by a low masonry wall on the northern edge that provides both privacy and structural support.
