The gaming industry has been developing over decades, providing entertainment for children and adults, and with it evolving comes new gamers, Ted Pollak, Gaming Analyst says gaming's popularity will always continue to increase and therefore it is our duty as architects to build a comfortable and flexible design where it will attract these gamers. So naturally, we did our research and conducted various case studies, but what helped us the most was asking gamers we know. Almost all of them said that they would like to feel as if they’re living in a video game when occupying the arena. We piled up a bunch of pictures from video games and analyzed the buildings, our main objective was to create a social hub and provide the right gaming environment.
Architecture in the cyber world is very surreal and unusual, we were inspired by all the dynamic futuristic architecture. The seamless curves, the domes and even the lighting colors. We wanted to create the ultimate video game world ambience, so we started by sketching the following shapes, we added domed masses and played with curves to create a sense of liquidity and continuity.
Furthermore, we divided our building into six zones: The entrance, Gaming arena, Gaming center,Food court, Academy and a service area. We studied the site restrictions and did a complete site analysis and according to that we had our building oriented in the most efficient way.
We used steel trusses to hold our domes. In addition to hollow core slab to decrease the weight and materials within the floor whilst maintaining the maximal strength

Moreover, we used Dialux to calculate the illumination inside our building to add the right amount of lights. We also added exterior purple and blue lights to make gamers feel as if they are in a video game.
