Our concept is called: COMMUNIVERSITY A reformative facility that uses educational principals to advance participants as well as providing social education by maintaining a heavy focus on community and interpersonal engagement.
3Beyond BarsBeyond Bars is the name for our correctional facility. Our motto is to blur the boundaries between nature and architecture. This is done by fusing composite typology with topography. Our rehabilitation vision consists of cultivating, collaborating, and conditioning through the landscape of the project.
12BALANCING DICHOTOMYThe project caters to the balancing of the digital as well as physical world for the prisoners whose crime is based on web. Since, they are intelligent and not physically harmful they can be made to interact with the community by collaborating with them on cyber security education and contribute to the cyber security of the respective nation.
2Reframing the PrisonThe prison facilities of the future which focus on cyber criminality require a new way of thinking and a new strategy for design. Revisiting the typology of the traditional house becomes a way to reimagine the typology of the untraditional prison. Our project aims to push the boundary for justice architecture and proposes and prison that is truly healing.
2A Wall to live inA Wall to live in consist in designing an innovative prison for new types of criminals. It is based on the themes of modularity, nature and human being. With crimes like the non-violent ones the rehabilitation is a fundamental part of the judgment and it's exactly this aspect that this project tend to improve.
16THE FLOOD RESILIENT COMMUNITYA design for a 100 home community that is affected by the floods, but needs to get back on their own to a better future. A design that looks into flood resilient societies, community development as a drive to healthy societies, and individual dwelling upgrading.
1Prison: A metaphorical City of reformation This design dissertation proposal dismisses the dark spaces, small cells and grey concrete walls typical of a traditional prison. The environment that is created within the prison is inspired by the condensed urban environment, with a focus on reformation and its philosophy.
