Andy Rahman

He is a founder and Principal at Andyrahman Architect since 2006 until now. Andy Rahman is active in participating in various events and exhibitions at both national and international levels, such as Indonesian Architects Week in Tokyo, Japan (2011), Indonesian Public Architecture Exhibition in The Hague, Netherlands (2012), World Architecture Festival in Berlin, Germany (2016), Indonesian Architects Week in Seoul, South Korean (2017), Spirit 45 The Rise of Asia, France (2018), Material Matters Silpakorn University Thailand (2018), SSFS6 & Spirit 45, Hongkong (2019). In the practice and design process, Andy Rahman deals with craftsmanship architecture which is has a lot to do with craftsmen as executors in the field. This leads him to an awareness of the importance of Nusantara Architecture as a viable architecture on our land, Indonesia. He concern of the locality, how to revive the spirit of local materials and update the potential of local architecture. This identity gives a spiritual belief and relentless reflection in architecture "Architecture as a Way to Return to the God's way".
