About

Bruno Campos is an Architect graduated at UFMG (Brazil, 1994), with M.A at the Architectural Association School – AA (London, 1998). He has collaborated with various architects in Brazil and New York before establishing his own practice in 2001 (BCMF Arquitetos), associated to Marcelo Fontes and Silvio Todeschi. Among his main projects, the Deodoro Sports Complex (National Shooting, Equestrian, Field Hockey and Modern Pentathlon venues), built for the Rio 2007 Pan American Games, has received high international praise; triggering unique work opportunities in the sports field the practice. In 2009 BCMF Arquitetos was selected by the Brazilian Organizing Committee to help develop the official master plan for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Candidature, when Rio was competing against Chicago, Madrid, and Tokyo. In 2010-2014 the studio was responsible for the renovation of the legendary Mineirão Stadium, in Belo Horizonte, one of the selected venues for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the first stadium to receive LEED Platinum certification. BCMF is the first Brazilian architectural practice to participate in the planning of all three mega-events and was listed by FAST COMPANY as one of the top ten most innovative companies in South America. BCMF's work has been widely exhibited and published in Brazil and abroad, being acknowledged as one of the leading practices of the new generation of Brazilian architects.
