Josef Sartagh

Josef Sartagh is a German architect, lecturer, and author whose work spans architectural practice, research, and education. He studied architecture in Germany and Switzerland and began independently developing and realizing construction projects across northern Germany in 2015.Alongside his architectural practice, his academic work explores the relationship between architecture, human perception, and behavior, with a particular focus on neuroarchitecture and its application to residential environments, educational spaces, and speculative human habitats within utopian and dystopian contexts.As a lecturer, Sartagh presents and discusses his research in cities including London and Munich, combining academic inquiry with practical architectural experience and exploring how research can inform the design of future environments.As the founder of his architectural practice, working in collaboration with a network of partners, he is committed to exploring new approaches to the built environment, shaping both the architecture of the future and the future of architecture.
