Mamun Rashid

MAMUN RASHID, M.Arch. Ph.D. Teaches Building Construction in Architectural Engineering Department at the University of Sharjah. Educated in Architecture at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Mamun completed his PhD from the UNSW, Australia (recipient of New South Global Scholarship). He is deeply passionate about construction innovations. His research interests include liveability, sustainable design, building technology, housing and urban form. Mamun’s most recent book chapter is published from Springer (2019): ‘Tectonics in the Gulf Architecture’ in Building in Hot and Humid Regions. Mamun is a licensed Bangladesh architect (M IAB). He is a member of the AIA, AISC, ACI and ASHRAE professional bodies.
