2The Martian VeinLeveraging technological advancements and human determination, the Martian Vein emerges as a visionary geological power plant colony. This innovative habitat capitalizes on the planet's abundant mineral resources, converting them into indispensable energy, fostering not only survival but also the potential for expansive growth.
2Martian Cryo-ArkThe preservation and advancement of interplanetary biodiversity through bio-engineering and space tourism
0Green OasisNestled in the dried-up valley water systems on Mars exists a colony composed of a vertical city pollinated by AI mechanical bees. At the heart of our pursuit to terraform Mars is this idea of bioengineering key factors like site, mechanical bee air and water pollination, maglev transportation, vertical housing typology, and our nuclear fusion water reactor.
7Editor's ChoiceThe Prometheus MissionThe project not only serves as the first human settlement, but also a monument about the present, the future, and the past of human collective memory, culture, and legacy. It embodies timelessness and celebrates the use of speculative technology. It serves as a constant reminder of the essential purpose of technology and our connection with the universe.
5Editor's ChoiceDOT ; One small step for leapThe concept of a rhizome can explain not only the relationship between the main tower and the side building but also the relationships among various complexes. Therefore, DOT suggests the possibility of humanity's ongoing expansion, as the number of interconnected complexes, like DOT, increases with the motif of horizontally connect.
6The Mechanical Hive The Mechanical Hive Lunar Base, located near the lava tubes, relies on hexagonal structural stability inspired by nuts and bolts. This innovative design ensures resilience in the lunar environment while combining sustainability with lunar exploration. It marks a significant leap towards establishing a permanent human presence on the moon.
23WinnerMODU MOVEAddressing Artemis program needs and Martian settlers, the design tackles Mars and Moon's challenges, such as severe weather and space damage. Emphasizing adaptability, the modular habitat offers on-site response flexibility. Automated for self-reconfiguration, it ensures resilience and endless expansion for space colonization.
6The Moon Shining EternallyOur design is to call on all mankind to practice the concept of eternal sustainable development. People living on Earth look up and see the moon, and the changing light and shadow of the planting module on the moon will be transmitted back to Earth.
11People's Choice AwardTHE SWARMEarth after the apocalypse becomes a planet with critical conditions. People wanting to live on Earth again must first find a way to survive in a hostile environment. The proposal for safe living on Earth is a project of a self-sufficient housing unit with its own ecosystem.
157People's Choice AwardGenesis v.2Genesis v.2 takes the natural Crater forms on Mars to create a base for the future housing colony. The units are adjustable and can fit in different dimensions of Craters with minimal footprint. The project shows the incomplete quality of newly developing knowledge towards the future and establishes a system that might adjust to new scenarios.
3Mars String HubThe aim is to create a habitable space for humans on Mars and help them miss Earth and inject more possibilities into the future。
