The idea of the project is to rehabilitate homeless students through socialization and creativity, but at the same time give them protection, a shelter for a normal life and study.
65Editor's Choicesafe house"Safe house" is the shelter for homeless students in Jackson, Mississipi. The building provide space to live, grow and interact. Students can overcome their traumas about beeing homeless there and maintain mental well being. The main design idea was to blend the interior with the exterior. Project is based on natural material - wood and is full of greenery.
8My shelter/My HomeThe project is part of the participation in the Safe House competition, the project we have proposed, is divided into two main parts, the shelter and the reception structure. The shelter as a space capable of urgently accommodating one or several people in an immediate need of housing and the reception structure which will group a diversity of activities.
0Magnet‘Magnet’ is a homeless shelter for students to recall the feeling of belonging, and a space for students to develop their interpersonal skills in preparation for the outside world upon departing from the shelter. The shelter is seen as a magnet that attracts homeless students to stay, similar to how positive attracts the negative.
