September 2026
Fixed Comments Showing Broken "&" Characters
Comments containing an "&" symbol sometimes displayed as garbled text like "&"; comments now render correctly.
Paste Screenshots Directly When Uploading
The upload dialog now accepts screenshots pasted straight from your clipboard, so you no longer need to save a screenshot as a file first before uploading it.
Clearer Report Dialog for Flagging Content
Reporting a project, comment, or profile now shows a simpler dialog with a free-text field and clear regulatory categories, and prevents reports from silently being miscategorized.
Faster Page Loads on Project, Journal, and Competition Pages
We've rolled out self-hosted fonts, smarter image loading, and deferred loading of below-the-fold content, meaningfully cutting load times across the site.
Journal Follow Fixed
Following a journal for the first time now works reliably instead of occasionally failing.
Sign-Up Fix for Existing Unverified Emails
Registering with an email that already has an unverified account no longer fails with a server error, you'll now get a clear message instead.
Certificate Claim Button Fixed
The 'Certificate ready to claim' indicator on your profile is now a working button instead of a static label, so you can claim it in one click.
Richer Search Results in Unify
Search results in Unify now show preview images on every card, dedicated job cards, and publication filters, making it faster to scan and find what you're looking for.
AI Assistant Gets Real Answers on Jury Feedback, Awards & Certificates
Ask uni now points you to your actual juror feedback and comment counts, shows a competition's real prize structure instead of a made-up one, and reflects your certificate's current status after a win.
AI Assistant Adds Platform-Wide Search & Competition Winners Lookup
Ask uni can now search across every project, journal, publication, and competition by name in one query, and tell you who won what in a competition, pulling live results instead of guessing.
Fixed Page Load Issues on Publication, About, and Media Gallery Pages
Some publication and about pages could fail to render correctly, and media galleries could break when an item was missing data. Both issues are now resolved for a more reliable browsing experience.
Fixed Broken Organization Sidebar Links
Sidebar navigation links on organization pages could fail to open the right section when the page URL included tracking parameters (like UTM tags). This is now fixed.
Fixed Empty Topics Search Results
The Topics tab and the Topics section in search results were showing no matches due to a backend bug. Search now correctly returns topics, and the Follow button on topic cards works as expected.
Entry Analytics: Unlisted Jurors No Longer Shown
Jurors marked as unlisted were still appearing in entry-dashboard score displays and the owner analytics dashboard. They are now correctly hidden to respect juror privacy settings.
Fixed: Duplicate Messages After Sending
Messages sent in chat could briefly appear twice due to a websocket echo of your own just-sent message. This duplicate has been removed.
Leaderboard: Sortable Location & Fairer Award-Tier Ranking
The public leaderboard's Location column can now be sorted, and entries within the same award tier are ranked by jury score (public score for People's Choice) instead of arbitrary order, making results easier to scan and more accurate.
Heads-Up Email Before Results Go Public
Jurors and organizers now get an email about a day before results go public, so they can do one last review of the staged results before they are announced.
Leaderboard & Jury Dashboard Polish
Jury scores on the public leaderboard are now visible to everyone once results are announced, empty Location columns are hidden when no entries have one, unrated entries show a dash instead of a misleading 0.0, and the jury dashboard shows the final result once the results deadline passes.
See Who Liked a Project, Journal, or Publication
Curious who liked your work? Click the like count on any project, journal, or publication to see the full list of people who liked it.
People's Choice Awards: One Winner Per Category
For competitions that split entries by category (e.g. Students vs. Professionals), People's Choice now awards one winner per category instead of just a single top vote-getter overall.
Fixed: Marketing Unsubscribe No Longer Blocks Win & Result Emails
Transactional emails like win notifications and certificates are no longer silently skipped just because you'd unsubscribed from marketing emails -- only newsletters and campaigns respect that unsubscribe now.
Certificates Now Stay in Sync With Your Latest Award
Certificates now automatically update to match an entry's current award, so if your ranking changed after your certificate was first generated (e.g. Shortlisted to Winner), it reflects the correct title instead of a stale one.
Institutional Access: Referral Discount Codes Now Working
Applying for Institutional Access through a partner referral link now shows your discount up front on the page and correctly applied in the cart before you pay, and the application confirmation screen gives you a moment to read it before moving on to checkout.
Jury & Organizer Notifications When Voting Closes
Jurors and organizers now get an automatic email when public voting closes on a competition, with a link to preview results and download their jury certificate.
Fixed Certificate Page Errors
A small number of competition certificate pages were showing errors because two certificates could end up sharing the same link. Certificate links are now guaranteed unique so every certificate page loads correctly.
Fixed Missing Account & Payment Emails
A technical issue was silently blocking delivery of password reset, payment confirmation, and certificate emails. Email delivery has been restored.
Fixed Homepage Loading Delays
A rendering issue in the discussions feed was causing some homepage visits to load slowly or time out. This has been fixed.
Fixed: Certificates Now Show the Correct Entry Owner's Name
Competition certificates now correctly display the name of the entry's actual owner.
Fixed: Banned Organizations Could Still Be Used to Post Content
Organizations that are banned, deleted, or archived can no longer be selected to post content on your behalf.
Restricted Accounts No Longer Appear in Feed or Search
Content from flagged or restricted accounts is now consistently hidden from the activity feed and search results.
Staged Competition Results: Opt-Out and Winner Slot Fix
Organizers can now opt out of staged results, and competitions without a Bachelor / Master split now correctly fill the Winner slot.
Browse Competitions Currently Under Evaluation
A new Under Evaluation section lets you browse competitions that are actively being judged.
Evaluation Dashboard: Panel View, Score Filters, and Layout Improvements
Jurors can now filter by panel and juror score, see a loading indicator while the leaderboard loads, and the entry table is easier to read with reordered, resized columns.
Public Leaderboard: New Location & Category Columns
The public leaderboard now shows entry location and category, sorts correctly by public score, and only shows jury scores to competition members.
Jury Comments Now Show in the Activity Feed
Comments and project reviews from jurors now appear as readable feed items with project cards, making evaluation activity easier to follow.
Fixed: Saved Media Now Displays Correctly in Your Feed
Projects, journals, and publications you have saved now show up properly as their own cards in your activity feed instead of being missing or misattributed.
Careers Card Now Appears in Your Activity Feed
A sticky Careers card in the activity feed sidebar rotates through open job posts with org logos and location, and lets organizations post a job listing directly.
Mobile Menu Filter Highlight Fixed
On mobile, only the currently active filter is now highlighted in orange, with count chips moved to the right of the row for a cleaner look.
Share Buttons Added to Competition Pages
Competition public pages now include one-click share buttons, making it easier to share a competition on social media or via link.
Evaluation Dashboard: Leaderboard Rows Now Open the Full Eval Page
Clicking a leaderboard row or insight card on the evaluation dashboard now takes jurors straight to the relevant evaluation page instead of doing nothing.
Fixed Broken Links in Competition Studio and Organization Search
The View Public Page button in Competition Studio was pointing at a broken URL, and the manage-competitions search box in organization pages was not filtering correctly; both are now fixed.
Competition Studio: Redesigned Deadline Scheduling
The Deadlines page in Competition Studio was rebuilt with a clearer date and time picker (fixes selecting days, full-width layout, and a save error), plus hints for event-vs-period deadlines.
Visual Polish Across Journals, Feed, and Organization Pages
A broad round of layout fixes: consistent spacing on journals/topic/organization pages, cleaner mobile feed cards, fixed comment dropdown stacking, better click targets on feed cards, and journals linked to a project now inherit its cover image.
Fixed Certificate Ready Notifications
The notification that a certificate was ready to download had stopped firing for some users; it now sends reliably, alongside fixes to two certificate naming issues.
Jury Certificates: Refreshed Artwork and Participation Certificates
Jury certificate artwork got several rounds of polish (signature placement, stamp cropping, copy and background), rejected entries no longer receive a certificate, and jurors now get a participation certificate on their evaluation chamber cards.
Find Every Trophy Holder for an Award
Search now supports an award filter (/search?award=<title>) that lists every entry which has won a given trophy, making it easy to browse past winners.
Visual Polish Across Competition, Evaluation, and Account Pages
Cleaned up spacing, alignment, and card styling across competition, evaluation, and account pages for a more consistent look.
University Application Form Fixed, With a Clear Confirmation
The university partnership application was silently failing to submit due to a broken link; it's fixed, and the confirmation screen now tells you what happens next.
Video Player Remembers Your Volume and Quality
The video player was resetting to default volume and quality on every load; it now remembers your last settings.
Course Video Progress No Longer Mixes Up Between Lessons
Watching one lesson could overwrite the saved progress of a different lesson in the same course; each lesson now tracks its own playhead correctly.
