August 2026
Existing Team Members Now Auto-Join When Your Domain Is Verified
If you joined your organization before its email domain was verified, you're now automatically added as a member once verification completes — no need to rejoin manually.
Fixed Creator Revenue Eligibility for Membership Tiers
Creator revenue sharing eligibility and earnings now correctly reflect your membership tier and term, so payouts match the plan you're actually on.
Sponsorship Applications Now Go Through Partner Review
Selecting a paid sponsorship tier now opens the same application flow as becoming a partner, so your request is reviewed before any payment — replacing a checkout that previously left carts unpaid and unresolved.
Corrected Institutional Access Plan Details
Institutional Access copy previously overstated entry limits and term length. It now correctly shows 12 entries split across Department, School, and University tiers, with accurate validity periods.
Award and Prize Images, and Paid Category Pricing
Awards and prizes without a custom image now show a placeholder instead of rendering blank, and paid entry categories now display their cost right on the schedule.
Attach Files to Support Tickets
You can now attach files, like screenshots, when submitting a support ticket, making it easier to show us exactly what you're seeing.
Fixed Unlike, Duplicate Photos, and Garbled Bios in the Feed
Unliking a post after a page reload now works, duplicate photos and journals no longer repeat on project pages, and author bios in the feed no longer show raw formatting code.
Juror and Project Owner Badges on Comments
Comments from jurors and project owners now show a badge next to their name, so it's easier to tell whose feedback carries extra weight.
Videos Now Play in Your Feed
Project videos in your feed now show up as playable video slides — muted autoplay, tap-to-swipe, and playback controls — instead of a broken image icon.
Desktop Share Button Now Opens the Share Menu
Sharing a project from a desktop browser now opens the in-page share menu instead of a dead-end message pointing at buttons that weren't there.
Resend Verification for Your Primary Email
If your primary email still needs verification, you can now resend the verification email directly from account settings.
Fixed Birthday Saving a Day Early
Date of birth was being saved a day early for members east of UTC due to a timezone conversion bug. Your birthday now saves as the date you actually picked.
Archive and Restore Jobs in Unify
You can now view your archived render jobs and restore them back to your job history — archiving is no longer a one-way trip.
Trending and Award-Winning Feeds: Filter and Coverage Fixes
Discipline filters now work correctly on the Trending and Award-Winning feeds, and the Award-Winning feed no longer caps out early — every award-winning project can now surface.
You're No Longer Charged When an Upload Fails
Render, edit, and upscale jobs in DCG now only deduct credits after your image upload succeeds, so a failed upload no longer costs you credits with nothing to show for it.
Link Previews, Quotes and Mentions in the Feed
Pasting a uni.xyz link into a feed post now renders it as a live quote of that content, while other links get an Open Graph preview card. @Mentions of people and organizations now resolve with hover cards, and the For You feed avoids repeating content you have already seen.
Rich Messaging in the Jury Room
Jury DMs and group deliberation rooms now support file attachments, text formatting, paste-to-upload, sender avatars linking to profiles, and a live "Seen by N" indicator so jurors know who has caught up. The messaging surface also fits the page better with a pinned composer and full-height layout.
Private Projects No Longer Leak Into Inspirations or Similar Projects
Fixed an issue where private or restricted project media could appear in the Inspirations feed or in another project's "similar projects" list.
Publication Editor No Longer Unpublishes Live Work
Autosave and the "Next" button in the publication editor could accidentally unpublish a live publication; this is now fixed.
Account Sign-In and Profile Fixes
Deactivated password accounts can sign back in again, common skill names now save correctly on your profile, and you won't get a false "password changed" notification just for logging in.
Help Center Fixes and Smarter Redirects
Ten issues surfaced in a help-center audit have been fixed, and retired articles now redirect readers to current guidance instead of a dead end.
Clearer Status for Competition Entrants
Entrants now get told when they weren't shortlisted or when a submission received no response, and registrations are no longer rejected while a competition is still accepting entries.
Smoother Jury Evaluation Navigation
Jury scoring for journals, projects, and publications now moves between chambers with clearer navigation, and duplicate scores are prevented so your ratings are recorded reliably.
Feed Navigation and Credit Polish
The feed sidebar is now grouped into Browse, Explore, Community, and You for easier navigation, and credited avatars stack consistently with roles and exact timestamps on hover.
Richer Posts in the Home Feed
Posts in the feed now support bold/italic/underline formatting, pasted images, and @-mentions of people and organizations. Authors can also edit a post for 10 minutes after posting, or delete it entirely.
Comment as Your Organization
Admins and editors can now post comments and replies under their organization's identity, complete with the org logo, badge, and a popover with organization details.
Your Day on Uni: A Daily Activity Digest
A new daily email rounds up the likes, ratings, follows, comments, and network activity you care about, with per-section preferences and one-click unsubscribe on every section.
Updated Institutional Competition Entry Allowances
Institutional memberships now come with a capped number of competition entries per plan and adjusted default credit grants — check your membership page for your current allowance.
Faster Leaderboards and a Submission Freeze Window
Competition leaderboards now load faster and show uncapped public scores, and organizers can freeze submissions ahead of judging to keep results fair.
Set Project Visibility, or Unpublish Entirely
Project settings now include public/unlisted/private visibility options and a way to fully unpublish a project, giving you more control over who can see your work.
A Redesigned Home Feed at /feed
Your home feed now lives at its own address with reworked entity cards, a profile preview when you hover an avatar, and correct credit for a project's actual author and team.
Topics Gets a Real Composer and Trending Feed
Topic pages now have a full composer for posting with images and video, feed tabs with their own shareable URLs, and a Trending Topics list built from real activity instead of a fixed A-Z list.
Explore: See Trending Profiles First
The Explore page now defaults to showing trending profiles based on recent score growth, surfacing rising talent instead of a static list.
Track Your Profile Growth Over Time
Profiles now show a base-score history sparkline with monthly snapshots, so you can see how your standing has grown month over month.
Search the Globe by Project Name
Globe search now matches projects by name (not just city or country), so you can find a specific project directly from the map.
Richer Discussion Threads: Reposts, Quotes, and Polls
Topic discussions now support reposting and quoting other posts, adding polls with hidden tallies until you vote, and liking posts — making conversations more interactive.
Reactions, Quick Replies, and Human Support in Chat
Chat messages now support emoji reactions and one-tap quick replies, and if uni's AI assistant can't resolve your question, it can now hand you off to a real support agent.
Fixed Duplicate Likes on Projects and Competition Entries
Closed a bug that let a single account register multiple likes/votes on the same project or competition entry, and corrected entry dashboards that had been overcounting views, likes and comments.
Clearer Error When a Certificate Fails to Generate
Competition certificate generation now shows a specific reason on failure instead of a generic error toast.
Clearer Reason When Publish Is Disabled
If the Publish button is disabled on a project, you'll now see why instead of it just being greyed out.
Unread Reply Count on the Chat Bubble
The assistant chat bubble now shows a badge with the number of unread replies, so you don't miss a response.
Organizations and Market Now Show Up in Search
Universal search now indexes Organizations and Market listings alongside projects, so results cover more of what's on uni.xyz. Search results also scroll continuously and hide redundant filter chips on desktop.
More Reliable Location Search on the Globe
Fixed a bug where the globe's location search could appear empty after a direct page refresh, and improved how city and country coordinates are matched so pins land in the right place.
Satellite View for the Globe
The interactive globe now has a Satellite/Map toggle with country borders and names, so you can switch views without leaving the page.
Find Entries Faster During Evaluation
Jurors and organizers can now search and filter competition entries across the unevaluated, evaluated, and dashboard views.
More Free Renders and Clearer Assistant Pricing
Free AI image renders are up to 5 per day, quoted prices now include the payment gateway fee upfront, and the assistant streams answers in real time.
Email Alerts for Unread Messages
Leave a direct message unread and we'll now send a reminder email so important conversations don't get missed.
A Better Image Viewer, Everywhere
Fullscreen image viewing now supports zoom, a thumbnail strip, and open-in-new-tab, with one consistent gallery experience across projects, journals, and the AI assistant.
Chat With Uni Before You Sign In
Curious visitors can now start a conversation with Uni's AI assistant and get answers by just leaving an email — no account required.
Your AI Assistant Can Now Take Action
Ask Uni's assistant to create a publication, generate a certificate, export a branded PDF/DOCX/XLSX, check your competition status, or generate images and video — all without leaving the chat.
